Morning Chores panel

This set of photographs (full image and section enlargement) is of an opalescent glass panel entitled "Morning Chores" measuring 39" x 45" (framed) and depicts a child tending to flowers in a window box. Housed in a free-standing easel/frame, key features of this panel include its intricacy of design coupled with fine execution in the copper-foil technique. A series of steel reinforcing bars are soldered within the rear of the panel to ensure structural integrity. While an iridescent glass lends a unique treatment within the diamond-pane window, heavily folded "drapery glass" accents (hat, dress, pottery) join with an additional array of textured glass used throughout to achieve a distinctive visual effect.
