A Glimmer of Hope panel

This set of photographs (full image and section enlargements) is of an opalescent stained glass panel measuring 46" x 40" (framed) entitled "A Glimmer of Hope" depicting a golfer completing his recovery shot from a pine grove.

Housed in a free-standing easel/frame, key features of this panel include its overall design elements, its fine execution in the copper-foil technique, and its range of textured glass used throughout. Pebbled glass (background) and rippled glass (sweater; pine boughs) mixed with heavily folded "drapery" glass accents (branches/limbs; water hazard; trousers) to produce a unique visual effect. The "confetti" glass treatment lends an additional design feature of note.

A series of reinforcing bars is embedded within the solder-line in the rear of the panel unnoticeably to ensure structural soundness.
