Forest Art Glass
Forest Art Glass is a leaded stained-glass studio group based in Nahant, MA founded by Robert A. (Bob) Silva in the mid-1980s. The primary focus for Forest Art Glass today, as it was in the 1980s, is to provide original and creative design solutions in leaded stained-glass panel and/or lampshade assembly compatible with the particular setting.
The core features and elements that remain intrinsic to all Forest Art Glass projects include:
Distinctive original design capabilities. This is the hallmark and core offering for all Forest projects. It is this ability in the conception and design arenas that positions us to deliver the finest finished products.
Fine execution and craftsmanship.
Concentration in the copper-foil technique allowing for intricate design execution as well as structural integrity in both panel and lampshade assembly.
Incorporation of the finest materials with special emphasis in using textured opalescent glass (drapery, rippled, granite, fibroid) to achieve unique visual effect.
Much of the initial work done by Forest Art Glass is displayed in private residences and commercial settings in the greater-Boston area and in Lake County, IL. For example, Forest was commissioned by Leone Design Group, Larchmont NY in 1990 to execute and install a series of four leaded glass panels (each approx 4'x 2') for display in the Lynn Heritage State Park Visitors Center depicting themes from the historic past of the City of Lynn, MA.
Forest Art Glass enjoys a long standing affiliation with Mast Cove Galleries in Kennebunkport, ME.
